  …Silvia Droste reveals herself as a jazz vocalist of multiple resources. Good time, dynamics, expression, vocal range and always exactly in tune. There are echoes of Sarah, Anita, Carmen and Annie – and there need be no apologies for that – but Silvia Droste is, predominantly and very distinctlively, Silvia Droste.
“Seize the Day” is an album which reminds you that singers (some, anyway) are musicians, too.

  …J’ignore tout de Silvia Droste, excepté qu’elle est jeune et probablement allemande.
Mais je peux vous affirmer que sa voix exerce une séduction à laquelle je n’ai pas résisté. Il est des défaites qui rayonnent plus que des victoires. Imaginez un mélange de Helen Merrill et de Carmen McRae, plus une bonne dose d’indéfinissable qui n’appartient qu’à elle justement.
Un mélange fort, original et enivrant. Ne vous esquivez pas, je ne vous le pardonnerais pas.
